We took on knitting, crocheting, and embroidering when our days were tough to endure. We were struck, nowhere to turn, but our inner ties strengthened by our love for each other. We stuck to it as we had to overcome struggles and challenges.
But now I need to step up a bit, even make the big leap toward a better future. I made sure the knots were strongly tightened and reinforced when we extended ourselves to widen our environment.
This is when I had to be the most resourceful possible and also had to acknowledge that I was supported by a strong network of people who loved me and whom I love back. With their advice, I learned new languages, skills, and developed new tools within my means—using threads, yarns, wires, strings, lines…
everything and anything that could keep us close when we are not together anymore.
